STATE COLLEGE, PA, June 24, 2010 /Telecommunications PR News/ -- When Oberon, Inc. introduced the Model 1070-BL telecommunications enclosure in October of 2009, the idea intrigued the networking community. By locating Ethernet switches, patch panels, wireless controllers, and other networking and A/V components directly in the space where they are needed, the enclosures can be used to shorten home-runs, improve data rate and network capacity, and reduce crowding in the telecommunications room. Now, the product line has been expanded with the introduction of a white Model 1070-WH as a standard color option.
The Oberon Model 1070 is designed to be ideal for structured cabling and Fiber-to-the-Enclosure (FTTE) deployments and to offer flexibility in housing a variety of networking and A/V components. The 1070 has mounting brackets for up to 2 standard (1U) rack mountable components and back-box openings to mount a patch panel and CCH fiber optic adaptor panel. The enclosure has a highly perforated door to allow airflow for fan-less operation.
The 1070 enclosure mounts in standard 2' x 2' ceiling tile grid-work, and has a simple, clean aesthetic style created to blend well into any building design.
